Unum (pronounced you-num) Group is a Fortune 500 company made up of Unum US, Unum International and Colonial Life and employs approximately 10,000 people all together. It is one of the UK’s leading employee benefits providers of group income protection, dental and critical illness products. Unum’s digital healthcare technology Help@Hand offers easy access to 24/7 GPs, physiotherapy, second opinions and mental health counselling.

Emma Morrison had the pleasure of working directly with Mark Till, Unum’s CEO and an ex-Marketing leader himself, to support their urgent need to appoint an interim Marketing Lead. This role was to focus on change management following a change to their operating model. It was a key hire as it was the CEO’s first new Board appointment for the Unum.

We were selected because of our clear expertise in the marketing space and extensive network of highly experienced marketing consultants, notably across financial services. Equally the ED&I process in the search was of paramount importance and a clear differentiator in our approach.
